Madrid cultural route: moncloa area
Category: Culture and Art - Tourism
Located on one of the terraces of the Manzanares river from which the Casa de Campo can be seen, surrounded by extensive green areas and featuring one of the pleasantest avenues in the city, that of Pintor Rosales, the district of Argüelles is one of the privileged enclaves of the city and the second stronghold of the Madrid middle classes after the district of Salamanca. Its proximity to the university campus and to the student halls
of residence have made it a fashionable place for young people, who every weekend invade the area surrounding Moncloa underground station.
