The Tourist Board of Madrid offers by means of its DISCOVERMADRID programme a series of very interesting tourist routes that allow visitors to stroll around the most emblematic places of Madrid. These tourist walks are offered by professional tourist guides that escort the visitors whilst telling them about the most important facts and anecdotes of Madrid. This allows visitors to learn at the same time as they enjoy a cultural visit that is fundamental to get a first hand look at Madrid. Routes can be completed walking or by bicycle.
On the other hand the Discovermadrid Programme offers cultural and tourist routes specially prepared for people with accessibility problems (blind people and visually impaired people, people that suffer hearing loss, physically disabled and lesser-abled people). The routes for people with accessibility problems have been deigned by experts.
All our routes are aimed at teaching a fundamental part of our culture and architecture that over the years has configured our city with hundreds of historical and cultural anecdotes of great interest for visitors.
