Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine buffets

1. Topolino Garden

Calle de Preciados, 46 · Centro.

Its Mediterranean-style menu allows you to choose a buffet near Callao without focusing the food on sushi. It is a practical option to combine with the shops and theaters in the area.

The basic buffet does not include drinks. They also publish options with a bar open for two hours: 30 € without alcohol o 35 € with alcohol. For those under 110 cm, there is a fee of €8.50, excluding drinks. Consumption is individual.

2. Preciados 33

Calle de Preciados, 33 · Centro.

To sample Spanish cuisine, the menu includes stews and rice dishes. The buffet is served at a table in rounds of two courses per person, and all diners must choose this option. There are dishes available with an additional charge.

It includes bread but no dessert or drinks. The buffet kitchen is open from 13:00 to 22:30, with two hours per table. The menu sets 3 € per unconsumed dish. The daily menu is purchased separately: its price is not the same as the buffet.

3. All U Can Eat, at Sol y Montera

Calle de Tetuán, 20, and calle de la Montera, 17 · Center.

It offers a self-service menu with salads, pastas, pizzas, rice dishes and meat and fish dishes. It also advertises a breakfast buffet, a different option from the meals and dinners.

Before choosing it based on price, confirm the rate of the venue: the website advertises 13.95 € and 14.95 €, but also keeps a 11.95 € amount and a confusing description of the shifts. Therefore, we do not give any of those figures as a guaranteed final price.

4. The Knife

Calle de Arturo Soria, 126 · Arturo Soria Plaza Shopping Center.

It combines Argentine dishes that you can repeat with a cold table of salads and appetizers. The detailed conditions include one empanada, one dessert, and one coffee per person. The drinks have defined quantities: for example, one soft drink or two waters, beers, or glasses of wine. It is not a free bar.

The rate of 26.50 € excludes holidays; the rate of 30.50 € excludes holidays and eve of holidays. The rate of 37.50 € applies from Friday night to Sunday noon, including holidays and eve of holidays, except special days.

The opening hours are from 13:00 to 16:30 from Monday to Thursday and until 17:00 on Fridays to Sundays; in the evening, from 20:00 to 23:30. Outside those times, the restaurant offers a la carte.

5. SUMO Fuencarral

Calle de Fuencarral, 116 · Chamberí.

The SUMO system allows you to order Asian dishes from a tablet and have them delivered to your table. For this comparison, we used the Fuencarral branch: prices for a chain can vary from one location to another.

The three rates in the table appear as bookable menus on TheFork. The midday shift excludes holidays, and the Monday to Thursday evening shift also excludes its eve parties. Check what your menu includes before booking; an advertised discount on the menu does not mean that the buffet is discounted.

6. Kintaro

Calle de Fernández de la Hoz, 70 · Chamberí.

Its double turntable brings the sushi table and other Asian dishes to you. You might be interested if you prefer to choose what comes in front of you instead of placing orders in rounds.

Calle del Doctor Esquerdo, 70 · Madrid.

How to choose the buffet that best fits your plan

Compare the complete account

Calculate the menu for the chosen shift, the drinks and any extras you want to order. As an example of a budget, two 18 € buffets and two 3 € drinks would add up to 42 €; these amounts illustrate the calculation, not a specific offer. If you are bringing children, ask if their price depends on age, height or both.

Choose the way you eat too

In the self-service restaurant you choose what to order; in a buffet restaurant you order rounds; in a carousel you select the dishes that are passing by. For a group, decide in advance whether everyone wants a buffet: some restaurants require you to book it for the whole table.

Check how much time you have

Book a time slot that fits your plan and ask when the time starts and when the last order is ready. Order small portions and repeat later: this way you can try more dishes without leaving food that the restaurant might charge extra for.

Are there any options for less than 20 €?

Yes, several of the rates in this selection are below that amount, especially during the week. Take a look at the last column of the table: a menu costing less than €20 can exceed that budget by adding the drink or changing to the night shift.

Are buffet and daily menu the same thing?

No. A set menu usually includes a specific number of dishes; the buffet allows you to repeat the dishes within its limits. When a website offers both, select the option you want specifically when booking.
