Shopping centers in Madrid and its surroundings

To go shopping without a car from the city center, Príncipe Pío is a convenient option thanks to its exchange system. If you want to combine shopping with a walk along the river, check out Plaza Río 2. To spend part of the day enjoying leisure activities, compare Xanadú, X-Madrid and Oasiz; to find outlet fashion, start at Las Rozas Village, Sambil Madrid or The Style Outlets in San Sebastián de los Reyes.

This guide brings together centers in Madrid capital and other municipalities of the Comunidad. We organize them by location and type of visit, with links to consult shops, schedules, and access. It is a comprehensive selection to help you choose, not an exhaustive list of all the commercial spaces in the region.

Shopping centers in the capital of Madrid

Príncipe Pío

It is located at Paseo de la Florida, 2, next to the interchange, in the building of the former Estación del Norte. It houses shops, restaurants and a cinema, and is convenient if you want to take a break from shopping during a route through this part of Madrid.

You can get there by Metro on lines 6, 10 and Ramal, or by Cercanías. Check the shops and restaurants’ opening hours separately: just because some places are open at night doesn’t mean you can keep buying. Information and access in Tourism Madrid · Center website.

La Vaguada

La Vaguada opened in 1983 and is located in the Barrio del Pilar, on avenida de Monforte de Lemos, 36. It is an option to consider if you are looking for shops and services in the north of the capital without leaving the municipality.

Its usual business hours are Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It has closed days and specific hours for hypermarkets and restaurants. Metro's references are Barrio del Pilar and Herrera Oria, on the L9, and Peñagrande, on the L7. Timetables, calendar and how to get there.

La Gavia

At Calle Adolfo Bioy Casares, 2, La Gavia allows you to organize a shopping tour in the Ensanche de Vallecas. If you are looking for a specific brand, first check the directory to see if it is located in the center and to locate it.

The reference station is Las Suertes, on line 1. Plan time for the walk and check the schedule of the establishment you are visiting, especially if your visit coincides with a holiday. Location and transportation · Official stores and opening hours.

Islazul

Islazul is located in Carabanchel, at Calle Calderilla, 1, and combines shopping, dining and cinema. To get there by public transport, it is advisable to compare the bus with the Metro: the center indicates stops for lines 35, 118 and E1 on its doors, while La Peseta, on L11, is approximately one kilometer away.

The stores operate a regular schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with exceptions in the opening schedule. The entertainment and restaurants have different schedules. How to get to Islazul · Timetables and holidays.

Plenilunio

Plenilunio is located on Aracne Street, in the San Blas-Canillejas district. It might be a good option if you are in eastern Madrid and want to concentrate your shopping in this area.

The Madrid Tourism page lists bus connections, including lines 77, 88 and 167. Check the route from your accommodation and the return stop; don’t plan your trip assuming there’s a metro station at the door. Location and transportation · Official directory and schedules.

Plaza Rio 2

Its location on Avenida del Manzanares, 210, opposite Matadero Madrid, allows you to combine shopping with a stroll along Madrid Río. The Mirador’s restaurant area adds a stop with views of the river.

Legazpi, on lines 3 and 6, is a reference point for getting to the metro and continuing on foot. The opening hours of the shops do not necessarily coincide with those of the Mirador, the restaurants or the supermarket. Information and access · Plaza Río 2 website.

Shopping centers in the vicinity of Madrid

In these cases, consider the municipality and the return trip. An activity reserved, a dinner and the journey can take longer than the shopping itself.

Westfield Parquesur in Leganés

Parquesur is located in Leganés, not in the center of Madrid. It combines shops, restaurants, and leisure activities, so it can serve as a great place to spend several hours visiting from the southern area.

The Carrascal, on L12, allows you to take the Metro and complete the journey on foot. The 2026 commercial schedule indicates from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 22:00 and on Sundays from 11:00 to 21:00, with closures and exceptions depending on the establishment. Center Director · Official schedules · Plan of the surroundings of El Carrascal.

Xanadu in Arroyomolinos

The intu Xanadú shopping center is located in Arroyomolinos, next to the A-5 highway. Its facilities include shops, restaurants, a cinema, an indoor snow rink and the Atlantis Aquarium. It makes sense to choose it when you want to combine shopping with one of these activities.

Organize the activity first: check the entries, sessions, and access conditions at the corresponding operator. The opening of the center does not mean that all experiences are available at any time. To get there without a car, check the bus schedule and the return time. Location and leisure offerings · Xanadu website.

X Madrid in Alcorcón

X-Madrid, at Oslo Street, 53, combines shopping with activities such as climbing, surfing, diving, and cinema. It is an option for those who want leisure activities to be the center of their plan.

Check with each operator for the ages, reservations, and necessary equipment before traveling. Retamas is the reference for Cercanías, as compiled by Turismo Madrid; check the route to the entrance from there. Information and transportation · Activities and official directory.

Oasiz Madrid in Torrejón de Ardoz

Oasiz is located at Premios Nobel Avenue, 5, and combines shops and dining in an outdoor space with a central lake. Time matters here: plan your visit according to the forecast, especially if you’re taking children or want to stroll among the shops.

The stores publish a schedule from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 22:00 and on Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 21:00. Check for exceptions and the specific cinema or restaurant hours. The project was called Open Sky before it opened as Oasiz; they are the same place. Information and access · Official schedules.

H2O in Rivas Vaciamadrid

H2O is located at 4 Marie Curie Street. It brings together shops, restaurants and a cinema next to an outdoor lake, so you can combine a shopping visit with time outside the building.

The reference station is Rivas Futura, on the L9. Do not confuse this center with the Rivas Futura Shopping Center, which is listed below: they are different spaces. Information and transportation · H2O website.

Plaza Norte 2 in San Sebastián de los Reyes

Plaza Norte 2 is located at Plaza del Comercio, 11–12, in the vicinity of MegaPark. Its dome and interior decoration give it a recognizable appearance; the visit focuses on the shops and the restaurants.

To get there without a car, check the full public transport connection and the distance from the chosen stop. If your goal is to shop at outlets, keep in mind that Plaza Norte 2 and The Style Outlets in San Sebastián de los Reyes are separate locations. Information from the center · Official directory and schedules.

Outlets to search for deals

An outlet might be of interest if you are looking for specific brands or collections. Compare the final price of the product, the availability of your size, and the cost of shipping; the outlet format does not guarantee that any purchase will be cheaper.

Las Rozas Village

Located at 3 Juan Ramón Jiménez Street in Las Rozas, it brings together fashion and lifestyle boutiques in an outdoor tour. Check out the brands before booking part of your trip to go there.

The visit also depends on the weather. If you are traveling by public transport, check the last leg from the station or stop and the return service. Location and transportation options · Services and operator access.

Sambil Madrid at Leganés

Fashion Shopping and the old La Ermita center are no longer options for a commercial visit. Moda Shopping closed in 2023 and the former La Ermita complex was demolished.
